Roadside Cleanup-Sat, Feb. 4th, 2012 @ 8:30 AM

We really need your help to cleanup our "Adopted Road"......  Please join us for this important roadside clean-up.  
.
We will be doing another roadside cleanup on Saturday morning, February 4th, 2012 beginning at 8:30 AM.  This cleanup will be performed from Santander Road down towards Pope Road, along SR 312 (our Friends of Anastasia State Park Adopted Road).  We are again in great need of volunteers to help out in this effort.  The Park will provide cleaning tools, bags and safety equipment, but please bring a bottle of water to drink (recommended), sunscreen and gloves, (if you have them).  The group will meet at 8:30 AM at the intersection of Santander Road and SR 312.  There will be a Park staff member and a "Friends" volunteer on-hand to coordinate this effort and to provide any assistance necessary.  Depending on the turnout that we have, we should be done by about 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM or so.

2)  The Friends of Anastasia logo is a representation of the Anastasia Island Beach Mouse which is an endangered species.

3)  Friends meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (@ 7:00 PM) at the State Park office (near the Amphitheater), unless otherwise noted.  All Friends members are welcome & encouraged to attend.

4)  Who are the Friends of Anastasia?  We are a non-profit Citizens Support Organization (CSO) for Anastasia State Park who support the park by providing programs & services that will enhance the experience of all who visit this special place.  See the "Facts about Friends" post in the Items of Interest section of this website for additional information about Friends.
