| We're back at the Saturday morning Old City Farmer's Market at the St. Augustine Amphitheater (8:30 AM to 12:30 PM). This is our 2nd week back at the Market since our short summer hiatus. We were there helping to educate the public about how wonderful Anastasia State Park is & how our organization, Friends helps the park. However, additional volunteers are needed...... Our Information Booth serves to raise awareness of the Anastasia State Park and our Citizens Support Organization -- Friends of Anastasia. We will try to have the booth up and running at the Market as often as possible on Saturday mornings. It was a huge success (on the morning of July 24th). 5 dedicated Friends members and a Park Ranger came out to help clean up & really made our adopted road a lot cleaner and more attractive. THANKS! 1) Anastasia State Park offers programs to school groups FREE OF CHARGE! Please contact Park Services Specialist Shelly Young on (904) 461-2035 or at email address - shelly.young@dep.state.fl.us - for more information.
2) The Friends of Anastasia logo is a representation of the Anastasia Island Beach Mouse which is an endangered species.
3) Friends meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (@ 5:30 PM) at the State Park office (near the Amphitheater), unless otherwise noted. All Friends members are welcome & encouraged to attend.
4) Who are the Friends of Anastasia? We are a non-profit Citizens Support Organization (CSO) for Anastasia State Park who support the park by providing programs & services that will enhance the experience of all who visit this special place. See the "Facts about Friends" post in the Items of Interest section of this website for additional information about Friends.
