      5. Need a volunteer to manage the recycling team

        1. Leo has volunteered

    4. Playground

      1. Fibar has been installed, and looks great.

      2. Poker Run results

        1. there were 5 poker runs the same day we held ours.

        2. 1 of them was at Arnolds, against child abuse, for $10.

        3. “thunder road” magazine recommended that we could do a poker run in the fall as well.

          • Other recommendations

            • charge less, and have fewer goodies

        4. Riders had a good time

        5. net profits was about $500.00

      3. Other fund raisers

        1. Yard Sale

          • When do we want to hold it? May might be too hot.

        2. Benches

          • We have the money to make the roofed benches

          • Shelly has a guy in June that could work on benches. He is also building Picknic benches as well.

        3. Victory Cruise

          • Need someone to organize this

        7. Haunted Hayride

          • Need to make decisions on that

          • need to check in on homecoming – michelle will do this.

          • We will have it one of these 3 weekends; oct 16&17, 23&24, 30&31

          • Bob & Michelle will be heading the haunted hayride committee.

          • if we decide to have it, we will have it even if the amphitheater has a concert.

        8. Turtle race

          • could sell plastic turtles, and sell them for $5 each. Release them from a boat, and then the first X that make it to shore, would win a prize.

          • Could sell tickets at the farmer's market, etc.

          • could donate some of the money for a 'save the turtles' fund as well as the playground fund.

          • We could contact people from local environmental groups, and also the local turtle awareness group.

        9. Concerts

          • would they be interested in giving us money for parking?

          • Their opinion is that they are not stopping us from holding the hayride.

          • The 2nd gate and the gate from the elk's lodge are not part of the agreement, so we could, if we wanted, close those gates.

          • We need to plan the hayride.

          • They lease and pay for the parking lot, so we don't have rights to that area, this includes the staging area for the haunted hayride. They have rights to the lot, but not the 'road' right outside the admin building, down to the camp host area.

          • Mitch would like the CSO to come up with an alternative plan, and the park will support us in any way they can.

          • Hilltop is still in the works for a place to do the haunted hayride staging area.

            • Possibly could do a walking ghost tour

          • could also use Fort Mose if we could find parking, etc.

      3. Will go on the back door. Will need to be about 2' by 2' sign – will need to measure the door.

      4. Color: forest green on white

    2. changing of the check book – our official name is 'friends of anastasia recreation area', we we'd have to do an official name change.

      1. Generally, banks don't care what is on the check, as long as the organization name is registered with the bank
